Balance: Distribution of visual weight of objects.



Emphasis: Part of the design that catches the viewer's eye.



Movement: The path the viewer's eye takes through the work of art

Pattern: The repetition of an object or symbol all over a work of art.

Repetition: Pattern which makes a work of art seem active.

Proportion: Feeling of unity created when all sizes relate well with each other.

Rhythm: Repetition which creates a feeling of organized movement.

Variety: Use of several different elements of art to hold a viewer's attention.

Unity: The feeling of harmony between parts of a work of art.
